Business and Education Partnerships in Georgia

  • Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education
Founded by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia Economic Developers Association in 1990, the Partnership seeks to educate and influence Georgia leaders through research and nonpartisan advocacy to impact education policies and practices. It has provided over $30 million in funds to local school systems that have developed reform models. Recently, in collaboration with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, it has conducted twelve briefings - one in each county - on the economic impact of high school non-completion in each geographic region to bolster community-level support for high school reform.
