  • A+ Education Foundation
    The A+ Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that focuses on outreach, advocacy, and dissemination of education best practices across Alabama. About a third of its board of directors is business leaders and it relies almost exclusively on the private sector for its funding.

  • Alabama Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education Coalition (AMSTEC)
    Born out of the NASA-funded "Linking Leaders Program" in 1998, AMSTEC is a nonprofit organization composed of business, education, and government leaders who advocate on behalf of K-20 STEM education reform in Alabama. Most recently, it convened the Governor's Summit on Mathematics and Science Education, bringing together over 150 stakeholders to discuss Alabama STEM education in a national and international context.
